My organisation is not a member of BSRIA. Can I use the BSRIA Library?

No. The BSRIA Library is exclusively for BSRIA Members. Click here to explore member benefits and how to join.


My organisation is a BSRIA member, but I am struggling to login to the BSRIA Library portal.

Sign in to the BSRIA Library using your BSRIA login credentials.

If you do not have a BSRIA account, register for one here. Once registered, you will need to self-navigate back to the BSRIA Library and sign in there also.

If you have forgotten your BSRIA password, reset your password here. Once your password has been reset, you will need to self-navigate back to the BSRIA Library and sign in there also.

Click 'Remember Me' for the next time you want to login. 


How do I order items?

Sign in first. Once signed in, use the Search and Advanced Search functions to locate your item(s). Click ‘Add to Basket’ and follow the steps.


Can I reserve items?

Yes. Locate an item and click the ‘Reserve’ button.


How are items despatched?

Either by post. Sent by Royal Mail recorded delivery to your delivery address.

Or by protected PDF document. Sent to your registered e-mail address, along with an ID and password to unlock the item.


Can I change my postal delivery address?

Yes. This can be done within your account or at the point of order.


Can I change my email address?

No. This is fixed to your BSRIA membership account.


What should I do if I do not receive my item?

Contact us and we will be happy to investigate the status of your order.

Can I receive Standards electronically?

No. Copyright restrictions mean we can only send Standards out through the post.


How long will it take to receive my item?

Please allow 3-5 working days to receive your posted item and up to 3 working days to receive your protected PDF document.


How long can I loan items out for?

1 month, renewable.


How can I renew items?

Items can be renewed by going to ‘Current Loans’ in your account. Hit the renew button. Be advised different document types have different limits as to the number of times they can be renewed.


How many items can I order at any one time?

Posted items – maximum 10.

Protected PDFs – maximum 25.


How do I return items?

Posted items: Please return recorded delivery to BSRIA Library (Red Building), BSRIA Ltd, Old Bracknell Lane West, Bracknell, Berkshire, RG12 7AH.

Protected PDF document: Not applicable - access automatically restricted.


When is the BSRIA Library open?

Items can be ordered 24/7. The BSRIA Library is staffed Monday to Thursday, 08.30hrs to 17.00hrs; Friday, 08.30hrs-16.30hrs (UK).


An item I would like is not in stock. Can I request the BSRIA Library to acquire this item?

Yes. Contact us, and we will look to see if we can purchase the item for you to loan.


What type of enquiries can I send to the  BSRIA Library?

We are here to help not only locate your documents but, working with the wider BSRIA team, we can try and answer many questions that you may have. For example:

“Do you have BSI 19650 Standard in stock?”

“I am working on a project. What literature or guidance is available to advise the best pipe materials to use to avoid corrosion?”

“What legislation do I need to consider in the construction of an isolation suite in a hospital?”


What happens if I do not return my posted item?

We will remind you that the item needs to be returned. If the item remains unreturned and we do not have evidence of it being returned (i.e. by recorded delivery), we will invoice for the item, plus a £50 admin fee.
